Playlist

Hi! I’m going over songs I have learned so far and adding them to this list to tell you the difficulty of learning them through my experience. All of the songs that I put on here I recommend you listen to before deciding on whether you want to play them or not.

Chords: G,C, Em, and D

Ok I know this isn’t exactly a song, but these four chords are basically the basis of a majority of hit songs. If you learn these chords, you can look up any pop song on guitar tabs and it’s usually just these four chords. They are put in different order though sometimes. But these are definitely the easiest to learn if you just want to learn basic guitar.

Blackbird: The Beatles

This one is one the of the easiest fingerpicking style songs I learned. It did take me some time to learn the song, but it was really fun and enjoyable. You are going to have to put time in it though because there are a few tricky parts. But it is a classic Beatles song and sounds really nice. It’s still tricky, but really easy to learn.

Slow dancing in a burning room: John Mayer

So for this to sound completely amazing, you are going to need and electric guitar and an AMP. If you don’t, that’s fine too because you can still learn it on acoustic, but it may be a little harder since the song goes really high on frets and the acoustic doesn’t have as many frets and an acoustic. But since John Mayer is an amazing guitarist, this song is difficult. It is mainly fingerpicking style, but there are sliding techniques though, but it has a blues type of sound that makes it really fun to play.
